Our “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” fundraising event was a blast, and a huge success!

Thank you to the Wilmington, NC community for giving us (and all of our animal guests!) such a warm welcome on November 14th, 2024.

This special evening featured a cocktail hour followed by a four-course dinner, as well as live and silent auctions presented by Jason Fosdick and Michaela Batten of Z107.5’s Foz in the Morning Starring Michaela. With each course, a different animal joined the party, visiting with guests and taking photos. It was such a fun opportunity to come face-to-face with some unique and beautiful creatures - some for the first time ever!

Thank you again to our friends Pickles the bunny, Danny the goat, Maui the burmese python, Tesla the tegu lizard, and service dogs Axel and Jethro for making the evening so truly special.

The dinner raised $40,000, 100% of which will be put toward helping pets and their people in western NC (who are still struggling post-Hurricane Helene), keeping military members and their pets united, and providing animal-assisted learning opportunities for school-age children. Event guests had the opportunity to declare which of these three causes they preferred to support.
